Alumni who also ran cross country at the same school. They gave it to them at events and meets, they didnt give it to them as an inducement to come

I was friends with some UT football players in college. If we went out to eat and the server recognized them we would usually get a free appetizer/discount/etc. Even some free meals. Never once did anyone ask for anything.
