Last week I forget who ran the read option UT or A&M but he said "that's a five yard game by Kamara" and Gary had to correct him "Uh, actually Dobbs kept that one for a 2 yard gain".
When you can no longer tell who has the ball it's time to take a step back and let someone else handle the wheel.
