Yeah. Just call the game. I don't care what sport it is...I prefer them to not get involved as much as possible and definitely don't make a spectacle.

Entertaining? Yes but really not professional.

FIRST DOWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Red is a fine Texas Aggie. Began officiating high school FB when he was a student at A&M. Progressed to the SWC and then on the NFL.

Still lives in College Station.

I actually enjoy it. Not only do you get entertainment from the game but the umps throw in a little something too.

Yeah, they're like blackjack dealers at the casino who act like they're actually trying to win.

On a totally unrelated note, one of my favorite replies when someone mentions the New York Yankees is:

"The New York Yankees? That's like rooting for the blackjack dealer at the casino. 'Yeah, dealer has a push, alright!'

I think if refs/umpires can put passion into their calls then players should be allowed to celebrate more.

Passion for passion, professionalism for professionalism.

He once threw Tim Duncan out for laughing on the last game of the season with home court advantage on the line- way unprofessional.
I remember that. Can't believe he didn't get suspended for that garbage.

Ahhh Leslie Nielsen, now that Umpiring gets a thumbs up all day. What a funny man, I miss his movies.

And to Third Spur, I feel your pain man- Joey C is very suspect, and anyone that wants to fight Tim Duncan standing at 5'6 has a severe little man syndrome. Of course, who knows he could be like oddjob from James Bond and lay waste,
but I doubt it.

This link is kind of funny and may show some root to where some of the Euro NBA culture may have came from.
Funny refs

I miss the old NBA of great heated rivalries and guys like Charles Oakley, Barkley, Rodman, and the greatest trollers of all time, the Detroit Bad boys. Flopping has cheapened the game worse than steroids ruined baseball....well maybe a little of a stretch, but definitely is not the same game-Diva league now and can hardly play true defense.
