Do LSU baseball fans travel to it even if not in the CWS like Kentucky basketball fans to the Final Four?

typically yes. there are also a lot of locals that are lsu baseball fans

Yep. Lots of LSU gear in Omaha this weekend. Several Miss St fans, a few Arkansas, A&M and South Carolina fans as well.

they actually do. LSU fans expect to be there every year, but they aren't fairweather fans like the longhorns

I saw a few in stands with LSU gear, not near as many as last time LSU did not make it.

I know many LSU fans who get hotel rooms months in advance regardless if LSU makes it or not.

basketball is a bigger draw in general but that would be a good comparison. LSU baseball has an almost entirely different fanbase than they do in football.

I'm more of a Cubs guy (high loyalty, low performance is easy to relate to), but why are the White Sox in Omaha? Is there something going on there?
