Terrible decision.

They should have cut the runtime in half and then fire half their on screen personnel.

Yes. He's won me over. Couldn't stand him last year and the beginning of this season. I do think now that he adds a lot of fun to the show!! Just need to retire Lee. I appreciate everything he's done for the show, but it's time to enjoy retirement.

I didn’t care much for him early on but as the season went on, the more I watched the Pat McAfee show, the more he grew on me. His presence on CGD is a relief compared to hearing the worn out gibberish of Herpestreet and Dreadmond.

I liked him right at first, but then he did a live broadcast from the Cotton Bowl and started dropping S bombs and other profanity in front of little kids who were in the audience. I didn't think ESPN would allow that kind of language but everyone on his set was saying d*a*m*n and s*h*i*t like sailors. Turned me off every since.

I’ve liked McAfee since the bar stool days. His own show is great. Appeals to a younger generation. Boomers get pretty angry about him though.

He has toned it down but he still doesn't fit and feels like he's doing his own little show

I could take him or leave him on Gameday; actually, I could take or leave the entire GameDay show. I think he has been the only positive change on the show in years. But it's a bit over the top at times.

I just saw they axed the Pat McAfee show. fricking ESPN, that was genuinely the first daily sports show that has been worth a crap in decades. How the hell does Paul Finebaum survive, and a group of actual sports fans, good banter/humor, great guests, and real talk get canceled?
