Id be interested to hear your argument. It's no fun beating a team that already accepts their loss

Then why'd you lose to one of, if not the worst programs in the conference? Was it due to it being early in the season?

They played their worst half of the season and Tennessee played its best half of the season.

Not too hard to figure out.

Florida is a nearly identical team to the Auburn one Alabama beat last week, except Florida's defense is even better, both against the pass and the run. Florida's defense will likely keep them within 2 scores through 3 quarters, but their offense just can't score enough points to come back and win. If Florida can somehow get off to an early lead, though, watch out.

You get an upvote for seeing the bullshite in people trying to use that excuse. Oh, wait. LSU says that all the time.

Well, LSU fans do kind of beat themselves by firing a decent coach for a bad coach. They would still lose to The Crimson Tide regardless.

You're right about the UF defense being good but "keep them within 2 scores" would imply that the UF offense is gonna do some scoring. Might be better to aim for more realistic goals like 1st downs and maybe reaching midfield before Bama's 3rd string comes in.

Florida was down 15-7 to Bama in the 3rd Q last year before the defense collapsed from the offense's constant 3 and outs.

Florida also missed a FG in the 1st half as well.

This year's UF team overall is better than the UF team from the last 6 weeks of last year.

I don't think they can beat Bama. But it wouldn't surprise me if its close for a while.

Remember, FSU was only up 10-6 in the 3rd Q before the defense gave out, with 7 starters missing, then Duke Dawson injuring his ankle.

Bama hasn't had many close calls. LSU made them sweat, a little.

The Florida defense has a chance to make this game close. They need to play their best game of the season.

Should be a great game.

No. The key injuries on FL are on the defensive side of the ball. Their offense is so terrible that injuries likely have no effect on the offensive production. Blowing this off as a troll would be the easy way out, but it is just true. Bama will run wide the first half with some passing and then pound the rock second half with some passing. 34-9 Bama.

If UF's defense was healthy they could potentially be tied or within a score at the half then pull off a miracle in the second half. But, you can't beat Bama without depth.

The only way that can be overcome is for UF's secondary to play great coverage + intercept every errant pass, rather than knock it down or drop the interception. And this must happen within the first few plays of a series, at least twice. That's the only way UF can get off the field quickly and prevent being gassed later.

Also, Mac should go out in warmups with Eddy and tell him to line it up from 67. If he's dialed in, UF can legit score just by getting to mid field and Eddy has that range. I don't see Mac being able to ignore those opportunities and punt from mid field each time the offense goes 3 and out. Even if your defense only allows Bama to go from say, the 15, out to mid field, that's still several more minutes they'll be on the field. That's a losing proposition for Florida unless they're trading those minutes for points.

I do not know how to politely say this......UF is doomed.
