At LSU, I can't think of any reason that our fans would need to rush the field in football

I bet half your fans would do it if you fired your coach.

If Ole Miss wins the West, would it be acceptable for them to hike up their sun dresses and take to the field?

Without a doubt. Yes.

Yes. Because technically it's illegal in the SEC.

I'd think it would still happen at some places, regardless of the rule.

Kentucky has already hit the max fine amount after doing it against LSU and Georgia I believe.

Welp they rushed the field when they beat Nebraska back in 2010. So I'd say it would of been a possibilty.

After the Bluegrass Miracle, did UK fans institute some type of "Field Rush Delay" mechanism?

I took my nephew to the USC game where UK beat them and he was one of the first folks over the wall. Here is the home schedule for next year :

Sept. 7: MIAMI (OHIO)
Sept. 14: LOUISVILLE
Sept. 28: FLORIDA - first win since Ronald Reagan
Oct. 12: ALABAMA - beating defending BCS MNC
Nov. 2: ALABAMA STATE
Nov. 9: MISSOURI
Nov. 30: Tennessee - I could see them rushing the field for this one just because a home win was last achieved on 11/21/1981

There's a new group of college students every few years.

Besides eliminating potential message board and sports show fodder, there isn't a reason not to have some young drunk kids rush a court/field after a good win in my opinion.

The program may have been there before, but most of the students haven't in many situations. Let them have their fun.

If your fans are so blasé about winning big games and championships that they can't get excited about anything anymore. You should probably stop playing. You have lost all that is great about sports.

I was part of the crowd that rushed against UF in Bball .

UT puts out extra security now to deter it.

I was at the Ark - Auburn game the first time the Razorbacks ever won the West in FB. Those War Memorial security guards weren't going to let those goal posts get torn down...because they couldn't afford another set.

With the way our bball program has been lately, I would think we would rush the court after any relatively good win. Last time was our upset of #1 UK in 2010. Our fanbase is so hungry for bball success due to our baseball and football programs doing things that have never been done before here at USC.
In football, it would take more than an upset over #1 defending champs Alabama on a 19 game win streak. Maybe we would rush the field if we finished 12-0 by beating Clemson at home knowing that we were on our way to the SECCG and possibly the national championship game.

We would have. If we do again next season, we better not.

If it happens in dramatic fashion, given the standing room only, and the amount of track seating, I know we will. If we beat them easily like we should, I don't think we will.
