Any chance Bama could get Mark Gottfried back?

Since they let him go the program has back slid tremendously while Gottfried has went to NC State and rebuilt their program.
His recruiting there is about as good as Bama could ever hope for.
Any chance Bama could lure him back to rebuild their program again? Or is he at a much better job now and would consider taking a step back at this point in his career?

Bama wouldn't want him.
Gottfried got himself fired from Bama.
I went to a few homegames the last few years he had and he was in a few ways toxic to the program.
Arrogant, mean, thinks he is funny, and didn't get a drop out of the talent he recruited.
Wish him the best wherever he is.

He's currently on the road in Ohio in position to be at a good team while Grant loses to bad teams from the same state.

Gottfried was an average coach similar to Brady and Stansbury. However, I don't think Grant is much better than those 3.

I'll just say he earned his firing.
He recruits great and his players, like Mo Williams, can play hard.
However he does a terrible job with 'on the court' coaching or x's and o's. Even worse, he will run his team into a buzzsaw and not change plays while his players are getting creamed.
Clemson ran Bama out of their own gym the last time I went to a Gottfried at bama home game. Basically realized he didn't have the horses and stopped calling play changes. Literally gave up with more than 10 minutes left in the game as I remember it. I could be biased I suppose.

We upgraded coaches when they were replaced, you can't with a straight face say Grant has done a better job than Gottfried.

This might not be popular to say but I think UAB has the best Basketball coach in the state this year.
If Bama could get Haase I think he might surprise some people.

Gottfried sucks with 5* talent.
Grant sucks with 3 and 4* talent.
I'll take the slightly less disappointing coach. I'd fire Grant tomorrow morning if I were the AD though. He's Anthony Kennedy with a tan. We will win 20-23 games every year and get a 2 seed in the NIT because we lost to Southeastern Rhode Island Tech and North Tennessee State in OOC play and Auburn and UGA in SEC play.
