At 2 million a year, a coach better have more than 1 tournament appearance in six seasons. That's the atmosphere of modern collegiate athletics. It's a now or never outlook for any coaching staff.

Who really cares what Frank Martin thinks? Obviously mediocrity is not something the University of Alabama is satisfied with--even if USCe is.

Offense at Bama was too dynamic for Martin. Will not hire.

I know it would never happen, but i would love to have him back as an assistant. Great defensive mind, great guy, players love him.

This really comes across as Martin defending himself by using Grant's name.

Grant deserves respect for the integrity he carries with him and the respect brings to the program, but you can't look at his career at Alabama and find ANY sustained improvement. At all.
Every circumstance has a bottom line - and this is it for xCAG.
