Their defense sucked arse in 2012 too.

The non horse caller call against A&M

The Georgia fluke

And Sabans dumb challenge

Auburn could've easily lost 4 games last year.

Their defense was a lot better in 2012 than in 2013. You named one lucky break, that I had already acknowledged earlier.

Seriously, Auburn had one lucky play in 2013. Not sure why people try to argue otherwise.

Anytime someone runs a missed field goal back for a 110 yard touchdown would be the very definition of lucky to me.

I can agree if you mean unorthodox, out of ordinary, or anything like that... Lucky? Not so much... Not to me.

The non horse caller call against A&M
Well when someone can show the player grabbing inside the Horse collar someone will listen. The only people in the world that believe that was a horse collar were A&M fans and haters wanting to use it as an excuse for why Auburn won. The Announcers and Refs even agree it wasn't.

The Georgia fluke

That was just karma. Auburn got back the lucky TD UGA got without crossing the line. The pass was the only lucky play Auburn had all year and UGA was just as lucky to have the lead to start with.

quote:

And Sabans dumb challenge

That play wasn't luck. It was coaching unless you want to also count the free TD pass that Bama got. Auburn wasn't losing when they ran the kick back.

But they didn't. Win close games is a sign of a good team. Football doesn't ignore close games.

You gave up the same passing yards as you did in 2013, yeah it sucked.

I was talking about this with someone the other day. It's my favorite as well. I'd put it alongside Pappy Van Winkle (or any other insanely high priced bourbon) any day.

I'm just going to take this as you have never had Pappy, or a lot of other bourbons for that matter. Blantons is pretty run of the mill iyam.

No that was the luckiest play of the season. We got so lucky that saban coached poorly on that play and the subsequent prayer of a fg that we took advantage of and saved everyoen the wasted time of beating bama in overtime.

Am I too far off base bama fans?

No. Of course not. Its just funny to see how they all deny it when it was so clearly a penalty. Obviously it isn't the sole reason why we lost
