Who's having a worse draft so far: Ryan Mallett or Daquan Bowers?

Yeah, we lsu fans should listen to Arkansas fans about on field success, especially since they are o'fer in the sec championship games in their history.

Oh how we are hurting for championships and success at lsu.

Again, Congrats to the little programs of the sec that win more games then they are used to. I guess it helps ease the pain of not winning titles.

Easily. Going from the #1 hopeful all the way to the middle of the 2nd round maybe even falling to the second.

knee SI article before yesterday
quote:

Thought at one point to be a possible No. 1 overall talent, Bowers' knees didn't pass the inspection of any team. Some worry he'll lose speed or need to be a passing-down only player -- and those are the ones that like him. Several teams have Bowers red-flagged, meaning that their medical staff would not sign off on the player being picked at all, let alone high in the draft. Let's be clear -- Bowers did not have microfracture in January, but the surgery he did have certainly points to degenerative problems, making it possible that Bowers would lose both speed and explosiveness both now and in the future. Teams playing on artificial turf seem especially concerned about Bowers. The best fit would be a team in the mid-20s willing to take a chance on Bowers, especially if they have a history with returning players from the procedure. Many have Bowers as a near-lock to Tampa at 20, but the Bucs lack the experience with the procedure. A better fit would be Philadelphia at 23 or Seattle at 25. He would be an absolute risk if he went anywhere near a No. 12 slot to Minnesota. uh, don't you think negative recruiting against Petrino has been going on for a while now?

Maybe but when the best QB you produced with all of the potential in the world (height/strength etc) falls below the guy who went to TCU that's just embarrassing for an offensive coach.

NFL GM's stupidity is embarrassing for Petrino?

Mallett has an average of 29.6 yards per touchdown pass, the highest in SEC history, and he broke SEC career records for total offense per game (284.2) and total offense per play (8.07) averages.

Petrino has nothing to be ashamed about.

They (talking heads on espn) said earlier, Mallett needed to stop doing what he's doing.

What do you think they meant?
