Another possibility for the LSU-UF game

Would you LSU fans go for this scenario?

UF comes to BR on 11/19 for the game. SEC buys out both the previously schedule LSU and UF games. LSU as well as the BR community lose no home game revenue.

LSU then has to play UF in Gainesville in 2017 AND 2018 before returning to the traditional rotation.

That might be LSU's solution right there if their AD is smart enough to even think about it.

I'm guessing if LSU was willing to give up next year's game, there would be a game in BR on Saturday.

what's the point? UF doesn't want to lose that game at home...big recruiting weekend and all.

frick no. Maybe they can have it 17 and we get it back in 18 but not both. Florida should not be rewarded for this shite.

That would certainly get me to the table on 11/19

But I thought it wasn't safe for UF players to travel?

LSU will go to Florida in November if the SEC agrees to eliminate common opponents so LSU can go to Athens before 2028.

That would be hypocritical considering LSU would've gotten it in both 15 and 16. Plus if you didn't do it this way the schedule would be thrown off every single year.

Just don't cry when you're sitting at home watching Bama win another SEC Championship.

LSU wasn't willing to give up a home game to play a "home game" on 3 days notice.

They might be willing to give up next years game to play Florida this year at home on 1 months notice.

If this game was in BR this weekend there wouldn't be 40K in the stands.

It is already clear that there is no chance a game would be played outside of Gainesville.

Of course not, lsu doesn't want to make concessions, they only want UF to make concessions and if we don't then we're pussies.

There's no way it was going to be played outside of Gainesville this weekend. I can understand UF not wanting to lose a home game. If you make this proposition though with SEC approval I'm guessing Foley would be a lot more receptive to it. UF is losing a home game this year which is going to cost them a lot of money, this would help them get that money back next year. It also helps LSU make it a true home game atmosphere instead of just a makeshift home game atmosphere which would be lucky to be more than half full.

We weren't the ones that were between a rock and a hard place due to a hurricane! When we were we went to Tempe for a "home" game. USC did it last year. But UF was to good for that!!! FU

I'll always want UF and Auburn home games in the same year. To me those games in the future will always be the toughest.
