I think that's the origin of the rule...seems Saban claimed to only say hello but through his amazing telepathic powers conveyed to Malone that AL was offering a schollie and Keiwone accepted right there.
Ironic that the "bump" rule fricked Bruce Pearl and got him fired and all nicky got was a rule named after him.
