That was Wes Johnson our pitching coach from last year. He is now the pitching coach at Arkansas and if i'm not mistaken they already have 3 pitchers out for the year with TJ

He's done wonders with our staff though. And only one of those guys was injured since Johnson has been here. Two of them got hurt last season.

The guy's a pro. He's gonna do great at State. Just give him some time to get his system in place.

only problem with places like LSU and MSU is you have to win now
one bad year in a transition year is ok but next year is no excuses

Here's the story on cyr. He was in the doghouse before the Arkansas weekend. He had gotten into an argument with Henderson and said some things he shouldn't have. Fast forward to last weekend. Cyr knew some people and him and magnum both stayed out past curfew. What busted cyr was he had his picture taken and it was posted on social media well after curfew. Cyr didn't rat out that magnum was with him. Cyr was made to sit on the bus for all 3 games with no phone or anything and was told if I need you I'll come get you. All this is coming from a player on the team. First hand. Cazzinaro isn't playing around.

He was a scout for the Yankees. That has more weight to the minds of HS kids then the letters across his chest.

eh, don't really agree with that.

Don't know if the injury was a result of that coach or the current pitching coach. I do know what a doctor said about one of the recent pitcher injuries. Weighted balls was the reason.

I wonder if LSU fans can tell me more about Andy Cannizaro since we got him from you guys.
He's never been a head coach at any level. And he was an assistant coach only two years before he went to Miss St.

His strength is evaluating talent (recruiting) since that was what he did for the Yankees organization before being hired by LSU.

I said on the Tiger Rant Cohen was taking a huge gamble on AC when the news came out last year that he was leaving LSU for State.

He's cleaning house. Making room for his own guys. There are always going to be a few casualties during a regime change. Have to weed out the guys who aren't gonna buy in.

Really? I was told that he was literally flunking out of school.

The guys doing the Arkansas games last week kept saying Cannizaro did a great job getting Henderson to come so late in the year. Cohen hired Henderson way before any of the stuff with position shuffle going on. I think he was hired soon after Johnson went to Arkansas (June or July).

I'm glad Andy has a nice stepping stone job to prove he's ready for the big leagues when Mainieri retires.

Just stick with him. He's got the residue of greatness in him. He's a total winner.
