I think Cam Newton should win it again.

Go ahead and tell me he's not eligible because he's getting paid this year.

Heisman Trophy and #2 in BCS... 2 beauty contests we deserve to win. Get to work REC.

My fear for the Heisman is West Coast voters putting Luck #1 but leaving Richardson off completely. It's fine if you think Luck is deserving, but you shouldn't use your vote to hurt another Heisman candidate.

Definitely not
However, I have heard Ron Gilmore (Stanford Grad) has said Luck was his #1 and he didn't have Richardson in his top 3.

A little worried about that, but remember in '09 Ingram had Gerhart out west AND Tebow to split the South and still won. Trent has no one to split the South with and has some better stats than Ingram.

Yeah, but Gerhart came out of no where like Ingram almost. Heck give it Trent and have Andrew come back one more year and give it to him next year

and you know Ingram beat Gerhart out two years ago.... there is no way they are going to give another Heisman to an Alabama running back over a Stanford candidate this time.... no F'king way

2002 USC QB Carson Palmer
2004 USC QB Matt Leinart

If they can have 2 at the same position at the same school 2 years apart, why can't we? Each region gets same number of votes, right?

did not win over the same schools 2nd place candidate..... voters are going to think about that...... really, two Alabama running backs over two Stanford candidates within two years? all things equal, they are going to give it to Stanford.... it's the tiebreaker....

The whole politics and bias thing is kind of overblown. Most voters actually take their vote seriously. Most west-coasters will obviously rank Luck 1st, but they will not leave Trent off completely. Just like Southerners will vote Trent first, but not leave Luck off completely.

Most people actully vote for who they think is the best.

Let's not forget last year when everyone in the nation was convinced Cam was illegitimate, and we had just had the Reggie Bush scandal where he relinquished the Heisman, and the voters were supposedly worried about "tarnishing" the Heisman.

What happened? Cam still won overwhelmingly. Because he was the best player.

The heisman is mostly bullshite but I will say Richardson deserves it over Luck... It's not even close.

If he played on a team with just a speck of talent then that team would have been undefeated. He is an absolute stud.

We have a winner! Nobody can convince me that there's a better player in college football. The guy freaking carries his team basically by himself.
