Atlanta Sports Council just needs to stop getting Bama in here every other year...nothing more than a giant recruiting weekend for metro Atlanta prospects.

ASC has nothing to do with it anymore. They changed their emphasis away from collegiate sports in 2010. Gary Stokan left when that happened and became President/CEO of Peach Bowl, Inc. He's the guy to blame. Of course he was at ASC also.

I'd much rather play them in basketball.

shite I would be happy for LSU to start with D2 teams, instead of the local high schools.

Maybe teams have noticed the decade long track record of Alabama playing OOC games week 1 and winning by 14-46 pts and decided it was a good idea to avoid that.

Crazy that Bama could possibly play in Atlanta twice in December '16, September '17, December '17 and January '18.

We are trying to make sure we get around to beating every team in the ACC for that game. FSU gets their turn next year. Clemson had their turn already.

Throw Virginia Tech in there too.

Duke + our typical slate of 3 rent-a-wins at home will amount to a pretty weak strength of schedule. Hopefully the SEC is worth a damn that year.

Last time we played Duke, Beth Mowans did play by play. While she is a good play by play announcer, she has an muffled, echo to her voice. It's irritating.

This. Getting hard to get a team to play Bama when they've won every one of these games under Saban.

Out of the 10 years during the Saban era, Bama has played 7 opening games in a kickoff game in a NFL stadium.

2016 - Beat USC 52-6 - Arlington, Texas
2015 - Beat Wisconsin 35-17 - Arlington, Texas
2014 - Beat West Vir. 33-23 - Atlanta, Georgia
2013 - Beat Vir. Tech 35-10 - Atlanta, Georgia
2012 - Beat Michigan 41-14 - Arlington, Texas
2009 - Beat Virginia Tech 34-24 - Atlanta, Georgia
2008 - Beat Clemson 34-10 - Atlanta, Georgia

Future kick off games....

2017 - Alabama vs FSU - Atlanta, Georgia
2018 - Alabama vs Louisville - Orlando, Florida
2019 - Alabama vs Duke - Atlanta, Georgia

ACC doesn't want one of their best teams to lose opening game is the only excuse I can think of for this.

They will probably give us a better game than USC did.
