If we lose Saturday, mac will have the same record as muschamp through his first 20 games, 14-6. Also, mac has had 5 games with 14 points or less so far. Muschamp had 8 total in his 4 years here.

Well McElwain made it to Atlanta. So that still puts him ahead of Muschamp

Boom inherited a team from Urban M.

McElwain inherited a team from Will M.

One of these Ms is not like the other.

According to UF fans at the time, Urban left a depleted roster

Except last year when UF won the east and came out the gates undefeated and looking good? Was that Muschamp?

Mac went 10-2 in the regular season. Boom went 11-1 in 2012..........

Arbitrary SEC East title based on happenstances

And loads of luck. 5/5 on 4th down. A 30% FG kicker beats Vandy. Took FAU to OT. Played UGA without Chubb and they played the worst QB against UF. 2012 and 2015 were flukes. Meyer left that 2011 team the same way WM left the 2015 team. Loaded defense horrible offense.

Agreed. I dont think Mac is the answer. And the reason I say this so soon is because somehow the guy cant even figure out how to recruit at UF

I had this conversation with one of my Gator friends towards the end of last year. Stat wise, there was not a huge difference between UF 2015 and UF 2014 when we looked at it (maybe 8-9 games in), except for the win totals. 2015 UF had a lot of good bounces and made some big time plays that gave them more wins, but statistically the teams were about the same.

Nothing against McElwain, because at the end of the day, wins are the only stat that matters, but it was just interesting.

TJ is one of resident Gator naysayers and probably is a rival cloaked in Gatorskin...never a kind word about the Gators so digest his shite with a 5 lb bag of salt.

His recruiting staff is average at best. Nord, Summers, Collins, Shannon, Rumph and even Mac himself. That's a lot of dead weight. We signed 0 DTs and 1 top DB the last 2 classes. Problem is we can't fire him because Dumbass Foley who gave him a 6 year deal after paying $5M to buyout CSU. After this year his buyout is still $10 fricking Million dollars.

He's not wrong though. Last year, offensive and defensive rankings weren't all that different from 2014. However, if he keeps winning, none of it matters. As long as that stat differs from Muschamp, that's all you need.

There's the resident sunshine pumper who championed WM until he was canned. You're the most delusional fan I have ever met in any sport.

Given the talent UF normally brings in I think they're below average. That said, it's not going to get any easier with FSU, Miami and even some of the smaller Florida schools competing for talent. And then you have guys like Urban and Muschamp who have inside lines into state talent pools and who will pick off a few recruits themselves.

Even so, the population is big enough to where UF ought to be doing much better on the recruiting trail given your past success.

Florida has four 4 star DBs committed and four star Chris Henderson committing this weekend, as well as four star safeties like Brad Stewart and five star Devon Hunter with the Gators in the lead. The recruiting is fine. Collins and Shannon and Rumph and Gray and Dixon and Mac are all good recruiters. You're just a dumbass prick who wants to do everything you can to slant everything to make it look worse than it actually is.

And "dumbass Foley" has won the University of Florida every SEC All Sports trophy in the last 25 years you dense fricktard. You're talking about a buyout after one full season where the team went to Atlanta.

How's he going to do that with his shitastic recruiting- Felipe Franks looks to be by far the highest-rated QB he'll sign in his first 3 years.
