So does TAMU not have any OOC games outside the state of Texas?
We did this to reassure our fans that although we changed conferences, we didn't leave the state of Texas.

Two weeks to prepare for A&M?"
We are going to release a gazelle on the field and practice chasing it down.
That would be a good start.

*The SEC Office was located in downtown New Orleans
*The Head of SEC Officials was an LSU grad
*The Head of SEC Scheduling was an LSU grad
*The Replay Booth Official in the SECCG was an LSU grad
*Dozens of vehicles in the SEC Office parking lot in N.O. had "Geaux Tigers" license plates...
*An influtential LSU booster who lived in New Orleans consulted with the NCAA President on a routine basis.
*Les Miles was able to lobby for his team on national TV at halftime of the SECCG for his team to get a "do-over" mulligan even though they finsihed SECOND IN THEIR DIVISION.
What if the National Championship was held in New Orleans?

compliments of tiger rant

I've come to the conclusion that Les Miles has some character issues that I find offensive. Last year, following the game in Tuscaloosa, a reporter asked him how he felt about playing alabama again for the National Championship. He said "I would be honored to do so." Well, as coach of LSU he should have said "Why would we, since we just beat them and if we win out we will be SEC West Champs and they will not even be in the conference championship game."
When the last polls were released after the SEC Championship game, Miles voted Bama #2. He had coached at Oklahoma State and they just finished 11-1, won the Big-12 and had a much tougher schedule than Bama. He rewarded Bama over a place that had been good to him and had just completed their best season with the only loss coming in OT on a tragic day for Oklahoma State, the plane crash and deaths of their women's basketball coaching staff.
quote:
Last year, Oklahoma State's women's basketball coaches were killed in a plane crash. That evening the Oklahoma State team played Iowa State and it was evident on the faces of the coaches and players that they were not into the game because of the horrible news of that day. They lost to Iowa State in a game where a very hard to judge field goal attempt was missed that would have won the game. Oklahoma State won rather decisively every game they played other than that one and finished the year 12-1, Big 12 champs and Fiesta Bowl Champs.
What compassion or care was given to Oklahoma State by the Alabama coaches, Alabama promoter Mike Slive who politicked the media or Alabama fans? NONE. Nadda, Zilch. A fan base that I had hoped would show some since they had gone through the tragedy of the horrific tornado that hit their town. Yet, Alabama didn't give a flying frick. They also didn't give a flying frick of respect to the very playoff type system that was developed in the SEC of two division champs meeting for the conference championship.

Does this mean UGA is finally off the hook?

LSU won 5 straight chicken bowl appearances. Are teams supposed to go undefeated in all bowl games.
Utah wasn't even a BCS team.

You were supposed to beat Clemson. Just like we were supposed to beat Utah.
Quit being a bitch and accept that fact and move on

But that wouldn't be fair because surely UGA would get all kinds of preferential treatment if the SEC offices were in Georgia.

I like the Ga Dome in September when it's hot outside but other than that it's a lame stadium.

I like the Georgia Dome and for the life of me can't understand why the City of Atlanta is going to tear it down barely 20 years after it opened.

Sounds like someone is still crying over the Clemson arse whipping.
Good luck with the mediocrity that is sure to follow.

want a retractable roof, bigger bowl game(NC) and a want a super bowl. The worst part about it is, the GA dome still isnt even paid off from something like 200 mill original cost, and they want to invest a billion in a new one.
Really I believe it all started with they wanted an outdoor stadium on the north side of town(Doraville)
