I feel like your record against Freeze is directly proportional to your fervor over his potential demise. Except Alabama. But Hogs don't seem to mind. Auburn is Meh. Dogs and Aggies probably sneak into town to put for sale signs on his lawn.

I don't mind $100 handshakes or the free meal at Hokkaido or some other restaurant in Tuscaloosa. Those kind of things happen all the time and I watched it happen with a couple of high profile players while I was a student at Alabama. But when the coaching staff is involved and couldn't care less if they get caught or not your program needs to be punished.

Nah I'm at about a 55-20 split on that.

Probably closer to 2-3 split if you're honest with yourself.

It's not that I don't care, it's just that there's not a level playing field anymore because anyone else being accused of something gets investigated by the NCAA, but Bama goes scot-free and does all kind of underhanded shite and never even gets called to the principal's office. Thank you Mark Emmert,

So basically even. But the Egg is in Starkville at the moment and has been the majority of Mullens tenure

From a purely economic perspective, I think cheating is the best way for the players to actually get a fair value.

Or, you know, update the rules so that players can engage in free market endorsement deals once signed and on campus (I.e. must be enrolled in school and have a signed contract proving an exchange of goods/services for pay, such as autographs, shoe deals, video game likeness, etc. Can't just accept a bunch of cash for nothing in return)

Don't care but it'd be funny to see their sacks nailed to the NCAA wall after all the fans praising Freethuth and co.

I don't give a shite if they cheated. It's the whole " if I'm going down, I'm taking everyone with me" approach that pissed me off.

You lose to him 60% of the time which is pretty much par for the course in this rivalry.

I don't care.

It's not like most teams are comprised of choir boys and Rhodes Scholars.

Probably 20% of the players could not get into the school if they were just a guy applying routinely.

It is a minor league for the NFL.
No more. No less.

If the payments were capped and could only be accessed through a NCAA monitored account, then sure.

Other payments would still go on.

I don't care, I just think it's funny that they actually thought that they were gonna get away with it. Hiring a high school coach and getting a top 5 class the next year. At least be more discreet.

But a side note, just because I don't care about the actual violations does not mean I'm not hoping for a death penalty. This is free entertainment.

He had been in the college coaching ranks for 5 years, including an 10-2 record as a head coach at the D1 level.

He had more head coaching experience than Dan Mullen. Besides, there's nothing in either NOA about the 2013 recruiting class except a 3 star and a walk on from Memphis getting rides from a booster. Not a thing about the recruitment of Treadwell, Nkemdiche, Tunsil, or Connor.

D1 is a matter of perspective at Arkansas State.

And that's because cash doesn't leave evidence. Come on now... We both know that.
