Hurd always got you that consistent 1.5-3 yards though. What else do you want out of a tight end playing running back?

I'm making myself so mad thinking about how badly Lyle mismanaged our running backs

Fans only want the big play but Lyle understands it's consistent inefficiency that wins you 8 games.

Won't be drafted first, but will be the best of the bunch.

8 running backs, including Hurd, produced 3.7 or fewer yards per carry in 2017. Hurd is the only one who had a teammate who had more than 3.7 yards per carry, which was obviously Kamara with 5.79. Butch Jones made the conscious decision to ride a guy that was averaging 2 yards less per carry than another back on his roster. That is fricking insane.

The hair (not commenting on the rest) looks so much better pulled back with the headband. I don't have an issue with long hair on men but not when it's hanging in their face.

Only 28" vertical, DNP in broad? Fornette? He was a heck of a basketballer at St. Aug. Ankle?

Coaching. Malpractice.

Kamara was maybe the most explosive back in the conference alongside Guice, yet he only had >15 carries in a game THREE TIMES AT TENNESSEE.

When Hurd sat out against A&M last October, Kamara got his first start ever at Tennessee and rushed 18 times for 127 yards 2 touchdowns along with 8 catches for 161 yards and a touchdown.

Yet Nuss essentially only used Yeldon that year. If we play Derrick and Kenyan more, that's a national title season. Drake average 1.5 yards more per carry than TJ. Derrick averaged nearly 5 more yards per carry.

Lane was our best OC at getting all of our backs involved. I'm hoping Daboll does a good job with this as well.

That seems low.

Kamara played in 4 more games than Hurd, but still had 19 fewer carries on the season.

Just putting this stuff in writing makes me feel like a shrink documenting the behavior of a psychopath.

Hurd sandbagged all the games he played last season. IIRC both Kamara and John Kelly put up ridiculous stats compared to what Hurd was doing. Hurd was good for tough yardage and 3-4 yards almost every touch the year before but last year you could look at him and he'd fall down.

More than half his carries went for 3 yards or less in 2015. That ballooned to almost 60% in 2016, but it's still not very good.
