I wasn't even trying to use Alabama as a comparison against Michigan. I was using Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, and Florida. But since you went there...

Alabama has played 6 teams in the Top 15 of this list on a regular basis. Against those 7 teams they've played a grand total of 401 games. Michigan, on the other hand, has played three (Ohio State, ND, and Minnesota) of the Top 15 on a regular basis for a grand total of 248 games.

Top 15

it's not just the top 15. it's the entirety.

I brought up Bama, because its always bama fans who seem to discredit Michigan's claims and rankings

The rest of the list would only add Michigan's series against Illinois and Michigan State. For Alabama, it would add Arkansas.

Alabama's total games against OP's list played on regular basis: 423
Michigan's total games against OP's list played on regular basis: 446

Illinois actually has 15 Big 10 championships. Appears they were pretty dominant from 1910-1930 and again in the 1950's. They also "claim" 5 national championships. Four in that 1910-1930 period.
