They acted like it was a bad thing when BK did it with much less talent so I'm going to say no.

Doesn’t really matter it may be a down year for Bama but the guy is a great coach and it’s Bama.
They will be good.

Call out the national guard if that happens.

9-3 with that schedule is definitely good, contrary to belief around here.

I’d say one loss. They are still talented. And the coach knows what he is doing. Over 90% of their team is 4 and 5 star players. Not buying Auburn fan’s BS. They won’t crumble so easily. But they have a lot of work to do in the NIL game.

0-12. Zero chance bama wins a single game next year!

1st year coach, 9-3 would get a lot of bitching if one of the losses was to the stinking Vols.

As of today 10-2 or 11-1 is probably going to hinge on the LSU game but this portal nonsense isn’t over yet, so it will depend on how that shakes out. It looks like the offensive line coaching is going to be better, which was the weakest part of the team and should have been given the size and star rankings the best unit. The LB pass coverage coaching was pretty abysmal too, I put that more on Steele for making it too complex with guys getting lost in coverage on a regular basis.

FIFY! That’s been a problem with his defense (sans elite LBs) for several years.

10-2 with losses vs UGA and at LSU. They're still too talented to lose to @ Tennessee. It'll start to roll off to maybe 9-3 down the road and likely stay there. #1 classes will start to become #5-10.

Name will still hold a lot of weight in recruiting, but no way any coach can pull off what Saban did, and when you're at the pinnacle and the foundation gets taken away (Saban), it's usually not pretty. Happened to Bama for 25-30 years after Bear Bryant left with a good season and nati thrown in here or there during the interval, but seemingly an average 7-5 or 8-4 record then. I don't think it'll be as bad as that, but I think optimistically a once every 10 year nati run, 9-3 type level. That's being optimistic.

Tennessee doesn't have what it takes to beat Bama for at least another 2-3 years. They had one season in last 17 that it was possible. I don't see them being 2022 again.

As for LSU, I think that the combined roster might be equal to this year if Nuss shows up (lesser offense, better defense) but still less than Bama. It'll be the atmosphere for the 1st time coach that gets them.

There is going to be so much hostility, drunkenness, rage, and just sheer loudness in Tiger Stadium that night bc it's been 17 years of being runner up in the West most seasons for LSU fans who are already very passionate that they'll make sure Deboer can't hear himself think. It'll get to 140 decibel deafness on 3rd downs for Bama unless they're up 10+. I don't see Tennessee getting to the LSU level in terms of game environment.

I can hear the 3rd down 140 decibel deafness in my mind already. I don't see Tennessee getting to the LSU level in terms of game environment. Just my 2 cents.

The UT and LSU games are going to be extremely hostile, like you said, without Saban, maybe more hostile than 2022.

I think Bama's offense will make a big leap forward and I think we'll be a more disciplined team next year. Less talented but more disciplined. Saban was too laid back after 2020 a d because of his age, he couldn't keep a top level staff anymore and it hurt our WR and OL development the most.

LSU will not be an easy win but you guys lost so much offensive talent. Daniels scrambling was your main way to tske pressure off the pass rush and you're gonna miss that because gunslingers will turn the ball over more than scramblers.

Yes I agree that it'll depend a large part of how Nuss shows up. He had a good 2nd half in the bowl game and went for 400 yards 3 TDs 1 INT. Looked shaky 1st half but this was his first start since 2021.

Had a pick and wild throws against UGA in SECG still had 300 yards and 2 TDs on 27 passes.

I don't want to judge him on being thrown into a ball game in the 3rd or 4th quarter with no passes in months vs a Bama or UGA. I can't say how he'll progress, but I'd judge him more on having a full game vs Wisconsin than being put in 4th quarter vs Bama down 10.

He won't be as good as Daniels. Daniels set an all time FBS record in passer rating and YPA while leading FBS this year in ypc for like min 100 carries. That won't happen again for a long time. I personally think Jayden had the better season than Burrow but without a defense.

Nuss has a cannon, he just needs good blocking and some younger receivers to step up. Lacy has big play potential at all times. LSU will be one of the best teams in the country next year but I don't think Bama will fall off a cliff like most think but I could also see 8-4 if things don't gel right away.

They'll say they are but almost every one of them like any post on their team message boards that talks about Saban falling off the last three years and needing this new burst of energy in their program. Saban only lost two games in each of those seasons and won the SEC twice.

When you remind them of that, it's kind of like telling a right wing dispensationalist Christian that when Jesus comes back the USA will cease to exist. They don't know what to do with it.

Defense is going to be an issue.

Nick Saban has been in charge of that defense for the last 17 years, I don't care who they said the DC was.
