I would have to know two things for certain. 1. What kind of a waiver did she sign, and 2. Was she paid any kind of salary for her work (really want to know if there was an employment relationship?
I think they will settle out of court personally, but I think this is an interesting case.

Sounds like the suit would primarily be against the television station (assuming their employee had control of the cart) and State for failure to secure the arera. She could also do a work comp against State if she gets compensated for job. I don't think State can have her waive getting hit by a cart. She needs to call a good Ole Miss attorney.
