Geographical rankings of SEC towns from most "Yankee" to least:

1. Columbia, Missouri
2. Lexington, Kentucky
3. Nashville, Tennessee
4. Knoxville, Tennessee
5. Fayetteville, Arkansas
6. Oxford, Mississippi
t7. Columbia, South Carolina
t7. Athens, Georgia
9. Starkville, Mississippi
10. Tuscaloosa, Alabama
11. Auburn, Alabama
12. College Station, Texas
13. Baton Rouge, Louisiana
14. Gainesville, Florida

EDIT: Scrooster is correct. Columbia, SC is not correctly placed on the top map, but is on the one below. Corrected.

SUCK IT, YANKEES.

By the way, who is going to make this road trip?

This was settled in the 1860s there was a war over it. Missouri is a Yankee state. So is Kentucky, technically, but Kentuckians don't really act like your typical Yankee.

Anything Florida at the bottom of a Yankee list is fail. That state is New York's retirement home.

Lol at Gainesville being least Yankee.

The bottom four are Tuscaloosa, Auburn, Oxford & Starkville easily. Don't know what order I'd put them in.

I'd probably put Baton Rouge after that

If you want to start a "Yankee" thread based on culture, be my guest, but any list that has College Station in the top half is beyond retarded.

I would guess it would look like this:

1. Columbia, Missouri
2. Gainesville, Florida
3. Nashville, Tennessee
4. Lexington, Kentucky
5. Athens, Georgia
6. Knoxville, Tennessee
7. Baton Rouge, Louisiana
8. Oxford, Mississippi
9. Fayetteville, Arkansas
10. Tuscaloosa, Alabama
11. College Station, Texas
12. Columbia, South Carolina
13. Auburn, Alabama
14. Starkville, Mississippi

4. Gainesville, FL
5. Knoxville, TN
6. Fayetteville, AR
7. Athens, GA
8. Baton Rouge, LA
9. College Station, TX
10. Columbia, SC
11. Tuscaloosa, AL
12. Auburn, AL
13. Oxford, MS
14. Starkville, MS

you must not have ever been to Gainesville, we have red-necks that would make Bama proud. Florida, south of Ocala = "Yankee retirement village."
