No, it's based off reviews from one website. If it was based on number of travelers, many of these places wouldn't be on the list.

Edit: I guess if you just consider them as travel destinations rather than tourist destinations, then maybe the list has merit.

I used to live in Indy and it seemed like anybody who went to the beach from there was going to Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach

St. Louis does have the third most visited Zoo in America and rated #2 best in most ratings. Also the #1 rated Botanical gardens in America. Most visited Zoos The Cardinals Usually finish in the top three in attendance every year with a lot of those people coming from out of town.

I enjoy going to Nashville as well. Going back November 7 to see the Blues play the Predators. It is only a five hour drive from St. Louis.
