If he loves basketball so much, why doesn't this guy leave LSU and become AD at an ACC school? He's dragging their whole program down. Ironically basketball the most.

That's the closest he will ever get to the Final Four. He sure as hell will never get there with Johnny Jones as coach.

LSU won't spend money on buyouts, as the President is afraid that illusion that we have money for athletics interferes with his attempt to keep the image that LSU is struggling financially.
Though LSU athletic funding and the school are separate.

People will care more about budget cuts when you intentionally cause atheletics to deteriorate in the name of it. I don't think it's going to pay off like Alexander envisions it though.
