We heard that about Marshall in 2014. You can't coach accuracy into someone. If anything, it will harm Hurts' game. He's a runner, and they will try to keep him in the pocket and make him a passer. That's not his strength.

Im taking Drew Lock, he has the biggest chance to shine this year with 11 offensive starters coming back. Imo he will probably be the best qb stat wise this year.

If you're forcing me to choose from the 4, Im going with Stidham

Dan Mullen can coach accuracy that is why Fitz will be the best. Dan is doctorate level of quarterbacking scientology.

I'm taking Fitz, but Mullen has to come on board in a "analyst" role.

If I'm running a balanced offense I'll go Allen (since I can't pick Stidham). If I'm running a spread run offense I'll go Fitzgerald over Hurts. Fitz is a better passer by a little bit. Hurts just isn't a good passer so He'd be last on this list, easily, to me.

This is my uneducated guess on SEC QB's - Rank them as they should be.

RK QB TEAM
1 Jalen Hurts--- Alabama
2 Nick Fitzgerald--- Mississippi St
3 Austin Allen--- Arkansas
4 Jarrett Stidham--- Auburn
5 Jacob Eason--- Georgia
6 Shea Patterson--- Ole Miss
7 Mailk Zaire--- Florida
8 Jake Bentley--- South Carolina
9 Kyle Shurmur--- Vanderbilt
10 Quinten Dormadyp-- Tennessee
11 Drew Lock--- Missouri
12 Nick Starkel--- Texas A&M
13 Stephen Johnson II--- Kentucky
14 Danny Etiling--- LSU

Drew Lock was 2nd in the SEC in passing yds in 2016. if he isn't at least in your top 5 or 6 QBs in the league you are very sleep

Fitzgerald. He is the best

I like his game for sure. He'll get his chance early to show what he can do. That's a rough September with LSU, UGA, and Auburn in successive weeks, 2 of which are on the road.

Yea, Lock has a monster arm and is decent accurate, their offense last year was fine. Their defense was just putrid, even worse than ours which is like comparing IQs for the kids that get to school at 9 on the short bus.

Allen is a stud QB for a pro-style offense with a line good enough to keep him upright. He isn't a statue though, our coaches just knew he would get hit 10-15 times a game WITHOUT called runs and the guy behind him is a serious step back so they didn't risk it very often. He declined as the year went one because he got tired of watching the play unfold from his arse with stars in his eyes.

For our offense, since I can't pick Allen, I would pick Stidham. Hurts couldn't complete enough passes ahead of the line of scrimmage to satiate our offense. Fitzgerald seemed to be a deer when running (almost Matt Jones like in his deceptive speed) but our offense doesn't really use that. I do think he is a better passer than the number indicate though, his WR corp helped him very little.

Fitz with Hurts as a close 2nd. Allen is really good and tough as nails, but he doesn't really fit our scheme from what I've seen.
