I know basements are rare in TN because most of the state sits on a rock, but are basements rare in AL?
Was a quarter mile away from a tornado when I was 12 and I'll never live in a house without a basement or storm cellar.

Wut.
Every house we had in Tn had a basement/cellar. Definitely not rare.
