Whoever is playing QB for them should easily be able to pad their stats with the talent there. Kirk and Reynolds is arguably the best returning duo in the nation. From what I understand also it goes a lot deeper than the first 4.

Are you referring to the core of the corps or just the corps as a whole?

In before obligatory "all A&M all the time" post(s).

I wouldn't say they have the best WR duo in the nation, or even close. This post just screams alter, or possibly sarcasm.

First unit:

Outside - Reynolds and Noil

Slot - Kirk

H-Back/TE - Seals-Jones

It's a hedge against Brandon Harris' production without said receivers...

Nah. Only half my post on this board are troll post. Sometimes I legitimately enjoy talking about other SEC programs.

And I would say Kirk and Reynolds are pretty close to being one of the top duos in the nation.

And talent-wise RSJ is unmatched. I hope he shines this year and gets drafted.

I actually think that 2016 will be good to us. Trevor Knight will make hay with that receiving corps, we got our wizard OL coach back and got rid of the trash that we had in that job, the locker-room cancer that was our warring primadonna QBs is gone, the defense improved in year one under Chavis and should improve again in year two, and A&M tends to do better when written off and shat-upon than when we are expected to do well.

2017 is when we are going to be awful.

The receivers most certainly do have a case as the most talented group in the conference. No doubt about that.

Trevor Knight was mediocre in the Big 12ish in a good offensive scheme though. I don't expect him to come to the SEC and somehow find more success.

ETA: OU also had a very good rushing attack in 2014. Something Sumlin still hasn't shown he can produce without JFF.

As far as pure talent I would put the Kirk Reynolds RSJ trifecta against any in the country. With a question mark at QB and OL I don't know if we will see the production that proves it though. You put them on Clemson or OSU and I think it would be terrifying, I'm biased though

Reynolds doesn't get much love in the media or on here but he's been incredibly productive at A&M

Off the top of my head in the West alone the Duos are as follows

Bamas Ridley and that number 2 guy who wasn't bad

Dupre and Dural (excellent Verical and YAC receivers)

Reynolds and Kirk

Then UF returns two studs
Tennese has a good vote.

At the very least Kirk and Reynolds are one of the top in the SEC, easily putting them as one of the top in the nation. I get it, we don't like the aggies. But that doesn't mean their WRs aren't very productive and talented.

Knight was an above-average QB who had a tendency to make big mistakes. In 15 games as a starter he passed for 3,000 yards for 25 TDs and ran for 800 yards.

A&M fired its OC and offensive line coach in part because we failed in the running game department. Keith Ford, who is the best running back on the team, had to sit out last year due to transfer rules. I don't expect us to light the world on fire from a running game standpoint, but Knight will have more support from a running game than we gave to either of the prior QBs.

Look, I like to mess with you guys a lot, but the fact of the matter is aTm won't be competitive in the West until they learn to run the ball, and stop the run.

Here are the facts:

7 of the last 8 West champs have been 1st or 2nd in the conference against the run and held their opponents to less than 110 YPG. 6 of the 8 were 1st.

Auburn 2013 is the outlier.

7 of the last 8 West Champs were top 3 in the conference in rushing offense. 6 of the 8 averaged over 200 YPG on the ground.

Since aTm joined:

Rush D:
7th (139.54)
14th (222.31)
14th (216.00)
13th (213.69)

Rush O:
1st (242.08)
10th (185.08)
12th (149.92)
8th (169.08)
