No, he got invited for his performances against Arkansas and Georgia - two games which had national audiences at the end of the year and were the only games on TV at the time.

Those were his Heisman moments.

Mathiue's one year was better than anything Arenas ever had.

Arenas' 2008 > Mathieu's 2011

Arenas in 2008 had 650 PR yards AND 614 KR yards AND 3 PR TDs.

Mathieu's 2011 had 429 PR yards AND 0 KR yards AND 2 PR TDs.

I just remember when he lit Justin Vincent the frick up around the goal line.

I think that was in '05 which was his sophomore season. You guys beat our arse that night (40-3 i think) but that was our one highlight from that game.

ETA: Here is the video. Terrible quality but it's all i could find.

That's not even better than Adams 2011 season if we are just doing one season.

I picked Philip Lutzenkirchen over Charles because Charles was good, but Lutzenkirchen definitely helped Auburn in the championship run and did it all for them. I would love to have him on my team.

As it pertains to the issue, Mathieu did only have 60% of the opportunities that Arenas had, in the given years- a stat that is just important...

Mathieu didn't return kicks. But let's compare kick return yards. Genius

Lutzenkirchen is a terrible pick. Aaron Hernandez is easily better.

Yes, Lutz is easily the worst pick on this list. I would pick Hernandez as well, and an argument could be made for DJ Williams from Arkansas

Also, Arenas should be the PR. He has fantastic numbers, and he was able to compile them consistently over four years. That has to count for something. TM didn't even have the best punt return stats in his conference in 2011.
