Since noone seems to be happy with their kickers, I'll submit Blair Walsh. His senior year sucked, but overall he was a really good kicker, and was drafted by the Vikings, where he is doing very well.
quote:
Walsh was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 5th pick of the 6th round. A priority acquisition for the Vikings, Walsh would take over kicking duties for the released Ryan Longwell. Through the first eleven weeks of the season, Walsh missed only one field goal [4] and had another blocked [5]. He was 5 of 5 with kicks over 50 yards and 21 of 21 on extra point attempts.
quote:
Walsh was a placekicker with the Georgia Bulldogs 2008-2011. He was a standout player who amassed a number of significant kicking stats. During his time at Georgia, he thrice made 4 field goals in a game. Twice he attempted a field goal from, his long, 56 yards and converted it once in a game against Coastal Carolina in his senior year. In all, Walsh made 184 of 185 PATs and 76 of 103 field goals.
quote:
Career: Named to UGA's Team of the Decade.
*Set NCAA record with at least one FG in 45 games.
*Set UGA & SEC record with 412 points scored, which ranked second in NCAA history.
*Set school record for career PATs with 184.
*Set school record for consecutive PATs made as he made the first 119 of his career.

No bias, facts.
Landry was still a better safety in his career
Lol, by all means, don't let the facts get in the way of your opinion.

I think I'm going to leave the kicker spot open because there are about 5-6 that could go here. UGA has two of them along with Florida, Auburn, and Alabama.

I like it and have no suggested changes.
Except picking a kicker.

Missouri wasn't in the SEC until this year so no players count unless they were on this year's team. Same goes for Texas A&M.
Then our only player worth mentioning is Sheldon.

Just a reminder... Hester wasn't a fullback. I honestly don't think you need one on this team anyway, with Cam, McFadden, and Richardson... and this OL. Saban has already given up the position at Alabama.
But, if you think you still need a fullback, there are some out there, who are actual fullbacks, they block, and use their size and beastliness to make plays. I think one was mentioned earlier...

Probably already been said, but just about any NFL coach could take that team and win a Super Bowl.

Only because Fowler got hurt. We were probably gonna use it a lot, but Fowler was our only FB.

Especially if you've got big 240 pound Sean Chapas running lead block for Trent Richardson et al...

As the list is now
By School-
Alabama 5
Florida 5
LSU 4
UGA 4
Auburn 3
South Carolina 2
Ole Miss 2
Tennessee 2
Arkansas 1
Kentucky 1
Vanderbilt 0
Miss State 0
Texas AM 0
Missouri 0
Based on the last 6 years, that looks about right. It's pretty well spread out.

Southerland wasn't even drafted, signed a free agent deal with Jets, didn't make the team.
His best year was 2006 with 120 yards with 8 td's.
Although I'd still take him over Hester, Hester wasn't an actual fullback. He was just a slighter bigger than average hb.

1. No WAY does Percy Harvin's actual production in college out him on this list as a WR (LINK ). He was more of a Randall Cobb type in how he was used. His overall career is less impressive then Cobb's IMO
2. Sidney Rice (USC) should get some consideration for a WR spot on this list. He was the single most dominant WR I can remember seeing play from 2006-present, followed closely by Julio Jones.
3. Jacob Hester has no business on this list. As has been noted, he wasn't a fullback at all and falls well below consideration as a RB.
4. as a 3 time all-american at different positions and an outland award winner, you have to have Barret Jones (Alabama)on here. He's certainly more celebrated then Grubbs or Pouncey at either of those positions.
5. As Chance Warmack G (Alabama) has been called the best guard prospect of the last decade by some draft analysts, he'd also be fair to bump both Grubbs or Sears for.
6. Can you really bump Tim Tebow's outstanding 3 years as a starter for 1 great year by Newton? As this is a multi year team, I think Tebow's sustained performance gets the nod.
7. I think you need to have 4 LB's on the team. Obvious candidates for a 4th would be Rolando McClain (Alabama),Eric Norwood (South Carolina), and Courtney Upshaw (Alabama)
8. Arenas is also clearly the best guy by the #'s over Honey Badger for PR.

Yeah, I still don't get no Chance on the list, but if it'd upset the balance and give Bama too many players I could understand that.

Not sure if its been mentioned because im not reading through all 14 pages, but I realize you are rolling with a 4-3 defense but Terrence Cody has to get a mention here somehow. He was a NT in the 3-4 so he should probably get listed as a DT or something but ffs the guy was as good as it gets as NT.

I hate it but he is right. Tebow was the best college football player I had ever seen besides Bo Jackson and you could have said he was better just because of his versatility as a QB. What he did was nothing short of amazing.
Then the very next year Cam Newton came along and literally made Tebow look silly. fricking silly. It was painful to watch to be honest.
