They make the right call here, and it all could have been so different.

He could be Bellicheat's nightmare, instead of ours.

Gosh, Bama is just too good.

Nah, Saban wasn't going to last in the NFL.

You can't recruit your roster. NFL millionaires won't take Saban's tongue lashings for very long. He was never going to stick it out. He scratched an itch and realized it was an STD.

It is their way of quietly asking you Bama guys to use the AstroGlide on Saturday.

Then again, we did get a Heisman out of his relative weakness against mobile QB's. If we just had one of those this year....

Well...it did allow me to witness a Saints Super Bowl. Which is something I'd never thought I'd live to see and one of the greatest nights of my life

If Brees would have gone to Miami, the Saints would be in San Antonio, Rich Rod would be coaching the Tide, LSU would have at least one more national championship, Les Miles would still have a job and Saban would be at Notre Dame.

As much as I love LSU, I wouldn't trade that Super Bowl win for anything. Much less the fact that the team would have probably split for Texas while New Orleans was still recovering from Katrina. I'll suffer through a 1/9 for that.

Saban wasn't a good fit for the NFL. Pro players don't like to be yelled at, it hurts their precious little feelings.
