They want Miles to stay so they can continue to dominate LSU.

Appreciate your valuing our opinions, who could blame you? You kept him this long, 2011 was so obvious that the issue was inherent. Eleven losses in three years wasn't proof enough and now you want our advice? Good luck, he should bolt and leave you helpless. Bless your hearts.

So you're telling me, you would be satisfied coming off an 8-5 season and being dominated by the best team in the west 5 straight years. then losing to a 5-4 arkansas team in complete domination at your house at night. And you would sit there saying this guy should stay and is doing his job fine. And the fans are crazy and has high standards.

I'm not sure what I'd tell you, and it wouldn't matter anyway. CLM has been good for the program and good for college football. He's a good man and a great coach. If he's not performing to expectation, fine. When you hire a new coach, consider this: Along with your hopes and aspirations, you should prepare yourself for disappointment. Two Mikes and a Dennis say hello.

I just think it's funny that two weeks ago Fournette was unstoppable, Brandon Harris was the best QB in the SEC, and LSU was gonna beat Bama (in their own house mind you) on the way to a Heisman, SEC Championship, and National Championship...

Now you want to fire Miles.... this happens every year about this time of year... then y'all hire a new OC, DC, etc... and then you are unbeatable again by next fall.

8-5 is .629 win % and LSUs overall is 762–401–47 for a win % of .649

Miles won in 2007. Saban's last season was 2004.

So by that "logic", Saban's first natty in 2009 was due to Mike Shula's players, right?

Sidewalk Bama fans...the comedy gift that keeps giving.

OtoH, you're LSU. You shouldn't be surprised to be beaten by a Saban-coached Alabama 5 years in a row. Heck, I remember a Fran-coached Alabama blowing out a Saban-coached LSU in Baton Rouge. Les is a great coach for you guys.

So, you remember the one win in 5 tries against Saban, managing to forget that 3 of those 4 losses came by margins of 14, 21 and 16 points. Nice selective memory there, Forest.

Forgetting them, no, but do you see Saban losing 31-0 at home at Alabama? Have you noticed Saban's second worst year at Bama equaled his second best year at LSU? Did Hallman win the SEC like DuBose did?

My point is Les is probably doing the best anyone could in the same division as the top program in college football, which happens to be coached by the best coach in college football. What more do you expect?

I don't understand this statement.

So fans shouldn't have expectations for winning when the season starts?

OSU over Bama was a bigger win for LSU than anything they've done since 2011. Sad.

Bama fans are blessed to have a really good year every year. But that one game against Ole Miss when they were losing they looked like LSU fans bolting for the exits down 43-24, then they almost made a comeback.. The one time they were in a similar situation in many years they did exactly what we did

And this thread...this s*** right here, is why I stay off of tRant if anything negative ever happens. We have some of the most unintellegent, entitled, bandwagon, diva, short term memory fans in the history of sports...ever. If we fire les miles this year, I will never post on the rant again. Les is the best coach for lsu, best tenured coach we've ever had (yes I'm qualifying), we are in the golden era of lsu football. We've won more championships this century then we won in any that started with 19--.

We lose two games in a row and the vocal majority on the Internet and eff maybe in br too since I don't live there anymore want to throw in the towel. We are in the same division as the premiere program in the country right now. But we have such little brother/little dick syndrome...I mean damn it why doesn't every team just change coaches every year bc they aren't nick Saban and they aren't bama. It's like oh hey what a genius idea, why haven't I thought of that. Stability in this day and age is severely underrated. And they want to boot the coach on the verge of bringing in the number 1 recruiting class (something bama has had what, 4 years running?) and with every skill position player returning next year. But no we want to fire everybody. Someone get me a damn drink...I'm too good for this crowd. -drop mic/end rant
