I don't get how Alex Box isn't chill, either. I've had some of my most relaxing Spring afternoons at The Box.

That's a very interesting analysis coming from a neutral observer. I never thought of it like this, but for many of our fans, I totally agree.

holy shite paranoia runs deep with LSU fans. He gave an honest opinion and a good review of the venue. If he was trolling I can think of about 20 different things he could have included in the post to incite flaming but he left them all out.

I'm not a fan of the NEW box. It's not a bad stadium, but to me it's just kind of blah. I hate the design of the grandstands and the design of the suites. It should have been filled in without the gaps under the boxes. Archetechtrally,it's very generic and blah. I give the nod to Arkansas and USCE for having the best stadiums. It's a shame that the powers that be at LSU couldn't have done a better job. We should have the most elite stadium in the SEC with our program.

What makes this a good review? It is pretty terrible. He went to Alex Box as an Arkansas fan looking for flaws that would make Baum better and then posted about it on the SEC Rant. To confirm his agenda, he directly compared Alex Box to Baum in half of his review of Alex Box. Based on that, my guess is this guy has been to Baum and now Alex Box once. Far from a college baseball stadium aficionado.

Filled in without the gaps under the boxes? Do you mean it shouldn't have an open concourse? Because Baum and Carolina stadium have the same thing.

he has the word 'comparison' in the thread title so him making a comparison surprises you? ok.

He said it was a good review. How can it be a good review if he has only been to 2 parks? If he has been to more than 2 parks, why limit his comparison to Baum if he was making an unbiased evaluation? This is a bad review. Sorry

Well his honest opinion is shitty and worthless.

I know exactly what you mean.

A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to catch a Braves game when I was in Atlanta. It was great, a real 'big-time' feel to it. The fans were really into it and the stadium itself was all 'no nonsense'. The fans were quite knowledgeable about the game, and a real pleasure to talk baseball with.

But personally I prefer the more laid back, down home feel of Zephyr Field in New Orleans to catch a game. You can picnic on the berm, or get a group together and just chill with your friends and a beverage in the pool. It's good to have one person keeping their eyes on the game though, in case of foul balls.

It may seem like a neutral analysis, but it isn't. He's looking at us through piggy glasses. Now if say some fan from an ooc school posted this, then it would be neutral.

I dont think youre talking about the stadiums, you're talking about the fanbases.
With Atlanta (and LSU), you have fanbases that expect to win every game because of past success. That why those two teams fanbases have more interest in the actual game.
Whereas the zephyrs and Hogs dont care if they lose a game or are not as invested in the game as say and LSU or Braves fan....JMO

I am sorry but this made absolutely no sense and IMO discredits the entire post.

I dont care what stadium we are talking about but people going to baseball games has nothing to do with work, unless they are paid to do something with the field or stadium.

What I gathered the OP was trying to say is that the Box is louder and more rowdy than Baum. But what the OP doesn't understand is that LSU fans are naturally like that. Its not "work" to us.

Maybe for Arky fans cheering for your team is work?

Sure he needs to go to more parks to compare the two nation wide. However to compare 1 to the other I think the only thing required is being familiar with both. This isn't the be all end all of reviews. Baum and the Box are 2 of the premeire stadiums in the country though
