I said before that this was Bama's worst OL since 2007, that 07 OL being the only one that was worse. I also said Henry made them look better than they really were at times, no other RB on the team could get positive yards on even a semi consistent basis, which the reason Henry got so many carries.

The right side of the OL was just bad. The RG and RT struggled greatly at times this year.

Jackson took a beating in the NC game

They were hands down the best running blocking unit in all of college football.

They were above average.

When you compare them to those other Bama championship OL's though they are nowhere near as good.

Didn't always get that consistent push and pass protection (D. Jackson i'm looking at you) just wasn't up to par sometimes.

that said...still above average. We had someone win a heisman behind this line. Also Remington award winner.

Football outsiders says we are above average

I believe 100 is average. we are like 115ish.

I think some Bama fans are getting spoiled. I've seen a lot of Bama fans say our line isn't that good and that just straight up isn't true. Though they certainly did struggle at times overall they were still better than a majority of the country.

Well the way Clemson was able to dry up Coker and Henry in the backfield, I'd still say they were pretty damn inconsistent. Especially Dom Jackson.

I hated our line this year. Especially compared to 2009, 2011, 2012.

Well they won the award for being the best OL in CFB so apparently they were the best OL in CFB.

They just allowed penetration and negative plays all year. They looked dominant against some of the weaker SEC front 7's but who did they really push around?

The center was great and the LT was good. The LG was pretty good at times, but RG and RT were a liability all season, and early they were just confused at times and allowed players to run untouched into the backfield.

Is that why all the RBs had such great seasons?

Was Cam really hurt most of the season?

He had so much talent you would think his injury must have been lingering.

the entire season i said they were highly mediocre
- particularly for an Alabama o-line. Had some good games but were very inconsistent.

Hats off to Kiffin hiding their weaknesses as much as he could and in the end they were good enough for us to get a championship.

Who does Bama lose this year from their OL? Dear god I hope Kelly is gone that dude is the best center I've seen play football in a long time.

Top 3 OLine in the country this season. Large part of that is the coaching/ blocking scheme used. Bama runs a lot of power with pulling guards and tackles and runs to the weak side often trusting there back can win one on one match ups.

BTW the absolute best 3 offensive lines in the past 20 years.
1996 Nebraska, 2001 Miami, and 2012 Bama

2012 Bama was amazing, 2009 Bama was also pretty top notch.
