Very interesting read. Unfortunately our defense also has to take the field.

Then people wonder why A&M posters on this site seem to have an attitude.

I feel like you guys came in with a massive chip on your shoulder because people said Big XII teams couldn't compete in the SEC. I also feel like most of those comments were directed at Mizzou who was the one coming in with all of the bravado (Old Man Football) pissing people off and not A&M since you guys were more quiet and thought of as a good addition. Maybe there were some Big XII guys saying A&M would fail, but I don't remember too many people saying much about A&M before 2012.

A&M people have an attitude because they took crap at an insane rate on this board - then kicked arse.

That's a recipe.

Then, I must have only noticed it once they started giving crap. Before that, it seemed like A&M and Alabama had a love affair.

But the offense doesn't really have weaknesses. We have a great o line, a heisman winning QB whose passing game is vastly improved over last year

Not taking anything way from JM but we heard the same thing when we faced Tebow for the 2nd time. Just saying.

I like that Smart Football guy, Chris Brown. I read his book, good stuff.

I can kind of see the parallels between the two A&M games and those two Florida games, and I hope this game goes the same way.

A&M took crap on the Rant prior to last season, yes. And then throughout the season we heard crap every week. So the fans went from being polite and excited to flat out pissed and bowing up.

But the size of the chip on the shoulder is also due to the enormous amount of crap said about A&M in the media throughout all of the conference re-alignment saga for weeks on end. It was a bloodbath.
