See the #4 ranked offense...yeah, we played them too.

I left them out because I wasn't laughing at you for bragging about that one. Carry on.

Just that you haven't played anyone outside of Arkansas with a decent offense.

I don't know if you're smart enough to realize this but the SEC has never been known for its offensive prowess. You'll see a few anomalies every now and then but, for the most part, the offenses in this conference are average to mediocre.

Yeah, West Virginia has a good offense - but look at where they play. The Big East does not play defense. Not only that but they are a terrible conference.

Yep. Actually, since '03 when I first signed up here, I've seen all the trends and bandwagon fans come and go. The one thing that remains constant is that the posters on here will always post the stats that validate their point. That's why LSU fans like to talk about our scoring offense, Arkansas fans like to talk about their record vs LSU for '07-'10 and Bama fans like to remind the rest of the world how they won a bunch of championships before most of us on here were born.

And everyone on the other side of the facts can't stand them. BUT, they are all facts. LSU has not played well against Arkansas, Bama is claiming championships, and their defense hasn't played anyone outside of Arkansas this year.

And it's not like we're going to play an offensive juggernaut on November 5. So I'm afraid I fail to see the point you're trying to make.

Yep. I guess Bama holding those teams to an average of under 8 points didnt hurt their overall scoring average at all, huh?

Here are some stats for you PPG for each team Bama has played (minus the Bama game so you can't say they are that low because of Bama)

Kent St - 11.3 (would be 120th worst in the country)
Penn St - 25 (would be ranked 79th)
N Texas - 23.7 (would be ranked 88th)
Arkansas - 44 (would be 8th)
Florida - 29.6 (would be 55th)
Vanderbilt - 29 (would be 62nd)
Ole Miss - 22.8 (would be 91st)
Tennessee - 28.3(would be 66th)

Hey, at least we didnt give up over 500 yards to any of them.

I thought it was points given up that mattered thanks for clearing that up for me.

Were you aware that LSU averages more points per game than the great offensive juggernaut that is Arkansas? Fun fact, LSU has also played a harder schedule than Arkansas.

Not arguing that point. I agree with your point 100%. The SEC is built on defense outside of Arkansas.

With that said, facts are facts. And LSU has the highest points per game out of any of your opponents per date. Saying that our offense is mediocre is saying that your team has played no one.

How many of those points were generated by mistakes made by the other team's offense? While those points count just as much as any of the others, Alabama plays as much mistake-free football as LSU does.

The point of this thread is that you Alabama guys keep talking about how bad our offense is and you keep defending the fact that your defense is good. You guys are so offended whenever someone brings up the facts.

LSUs mediocre offense averages more points per game that ANYONE you have played so far.

We have to argue about this shite for two more weeks!!!!! FRICK MY LIFE!

Can we all just agree that alabama's defense isn't as good as advertised and LSU is a offensive power?

But seriously, this is why I love college football.

Exactly.

SEC football >>> everything else

And it's fun to get them stirred up every once in a while.

True. But it's not that big of a difference. If Alabama can hold an offense that averages 37 points per game to 14 points, then why can't Alabama hold a team that averages 39 points per game to a similar number?

Valid point.

After the dust settles, both of these teams have great defenses. If this game is settled by how many turnovers the other team makes, I like our chances. If it is settled but field position, I also like our chances. We have easily the best punter in the nation.

You are funny. That is exactly what I was saying.....

I am just tired of you Alabama guys bashing our offense as mediocre whenever the scoring stats tell a different story.
