The only issue I take with your argument is that you compared a bad Bama offensive performance to a bad A&M defensive performance. Va. Tech has a very good defense and Rice has a very good offense, so that is fair at face value. However, Bama's showing was with a 100% healthy offensive that wasn't missing anyone on the two-deep than I'm aware of. A&M was missing 9 our our top 22 defenders and all will be back for Bama.
Our defense wont be great, but it will be infinitely better when we play Bama.

9? Really?
I counted 6: Stansbury, Jenkins, Everett, Harris, Raven, and Ennis

The interesting thing is that each of our first games created more questions than they answered.
IMO, it is very likely that neither our defense or their offense is as bad as it seemed. I do think our offense and their defense are as good as they seemed.
I agree with the OP, it is a pretty intriguing matchup.

It was 8 starters total, including Johnny

Is it really that far fetched to say that Alabama struggled protecting AJ McCarron and creating rush lanes for TJ Yeldon?

in all actuality both teams might not be as good as they were last year
This could very well be true. Although it could just be that aggy was distracted and bama was lazy last week. Can't wait for this game.

Seeing how it has been pegged the game of the year since January, yes.
This was a very obvious, irrefutable observation you made. Please work on not breathing.

No Aggies, the game of the century is already reserved for Bama/LSU.

I think it will be a sloppy game unfortunately. Alabama has only one game under their belt and the Aggies will not have the entire team playing together until the Alabama game. Wish it was played later this year.
Have my tickets and will be there either way.

Sorry for not listening too closely to teams that we own right now. Please come back if you finally beat us. Until then...meh.

I don't think the revenge factor in Nick Saban's mind bodes well for Texas A&M.
I think this is completely irrelevant.
Both teams know this game is huge and both know any NC hopes probably die for the loser (almost for sure for bama due to their schedule, but AtM's isn't much better).
The home field is a relevant factor. Bama has played well on the road under the lil feller though.
Hugely interesting game and strength against strength.
