You're not adjusting for the relative efficacy of our offenses. Our offense struggled more against Boise State & Memphis than your offense has struggled in any game this season. Boise State, in particular, got to run more plays -- it ran more plays than we did!

If you adjust for this, by looking at yards per play allowed, it's not really close:

Bama: 4.51
OM: 3.74

(As your summary shows, we've played comparable offenses.)

4.51 is still good, so don't feel bad.

It was funny listening to Saban try to make up reasons why Ole Miss is good and try to pretend that VHS is a tough place to play.

It's better than the Ole Miss way of playing them in shitty troll threads.

Why is a post with actual stats at the bottom of the page while the stupid smack talk threads are at the top?

I know it's tough accepting the fact that you will be 0-2 in the conference at the end of this week but try to stay out of threads about your big bro

One of the most important stat lines:

Bama #1 at converting 3rd downs in the country. 61.82%

OM #10 at converting 3rd downs. 52.7%

Bama #3 at stopping 3rd downs. 24.0%

OM # 12 at stopping 3rd downs. 27.59%

Well Ole Miss Defense doesn't play Alabama defense. I think Bamas offense matches up better against Ole Miss' defense than ole miss does against bama's D. I think this is a really good ole miss team that will give Bama some struggles. I just see that bama typically shows up for games like this and will find a way to win. Bama 31 OM 24

Seems about every 3 or 4 years, you have some Ole Miss team that thinks they will beat Bama and every time they get their asses handed to them. Every time. Bo Wallace will personally give Alabama 21 points with stupid decisions and turnovers.

West Virginia yards for - 393, #11 nationally in yds/G
Boise St yards for - 399, #39 nationally in yds/G

Advantage: Bama

FAU yards for - 145, #114 nationally in yds/G
Vanderbilt yards for - 167, #124 nationally in yds/G

Advantage: Bama

USM yards for - 263 #112th nationally in yds/G
La-Laf yards for - 322 #94th nationally in yds/G

Advantage: Bama, because the difference in their offenses is 50 yards per game and Bama allowed 60 less than OM did

UF yards for - 200 #42 nationally in yds/G
Memphis yards for - 104 #79 nationally in yds/G

Advantage: Ole Miss, even though UF is ranked higher, the difference is only about 65 yards between Memphis and UF

So what's it mean. Alabama has faced better offenses, generally, and has allowed only one more touchdown and approximately the same yards/game as Ole Miss has. So Alabama is better. Roll Tide.

Good bump.

It's not every day that a team gets out gained by 70 yards and wins.

I've tried to tell you.. you only entered the red zone once the entire game... Once... and that was in the second quarter.
