He telegraphed some, but still went through progressions better than any previous game at UF.

I hope so. It'd be nice to see us keep it close.

To the negagator, JD looked very good and only threw one dangerous pass. His deep throws actually looked improved. It's not his fault that EMU played 10-12 yards off the ball.

3 PI penalties at least, all looking like TDs and only one caught because of PI. The two that weren't caught because of PI were noted an incomplete.

69% completion - to which you'll say, short passes.. No kidding, that's what the defense was willing to give up all damn day. Not a single time did EMU go to press coverage that I can remember. Not once. I could be wrong. Maybe they did do it once.

It's OK to telegraph with the defender 12 yards away.

My concern is that you may be able to. I know it's only been a couple games and one was a cupcake, but I have a concern on Bama's D at the momen

I agree with this, Our defense was much better on the back end with Eddie Jackson but our DL is still suspect and I don't get it, There is a ton of talent there and tons of depth. Florida is normally a team that doesn't concern me greatly against Bama but if I was a betting man I take Florida in this one.

If Bama can beat Florida and score consistently I would like our chances to win the conference.

and I'd have room to talk?

Your offense did look good for the first time under Muschamp, regardless of what team you were playing.

I think it's a 24-20 type game.

Same here. I am hoping we match up well with what Muschamp will want to do. Looking forward to the 20th.

I can honestly say that EMU looked like one of the worst fricking football teams I've ever seen. That being said, it is at least promising to see us put up points because last year we couldn't do that even against GA Southern and other weak teams.

Yeah, I mean its still early, but I think our ground game should be very good. We've got several very good running backs... and Driskel is a beast on the ground as well... very Andrew Luck-esque running style with the Size/speed/whiteness combo.

After watching EMU, I'm tempering my expectations for Driskel. I thought He might slip under the radar and be the best QB in the SEC this year... just because he has such great tools and athleticism. Just watching him drop back in the pocket and pick out a receiver, he looks like the same old Driskel.

I think Driskel was a little scared to be hurt. Just MO, because I've never seen him take such ninny slides before.
On press today he hinted he was concerned about getting hit.
I would like to see improvement against KY. If he looks better on Saturday, I think we have a good chance. If he still looks the same, I think we stand no chance unless their QB gives it to us.

Would this REALLY be an upset
If Fl. Wins? Forget rankings
And think history. I don't
Think we are a top 4 team
YET. We have the potential to be
But our D just isn't there
Yet.

This is what I'm thinking. In the Swamp it's a whole different deal. But I'm expecting Bama to win big.

The whole game is boiled down to one thing: our OL vs Bamas DL and I think we have a slight advantage because our OL has been neglected by the media but we have seven players who have started games on the OL....some only a couple games...but we are upper classmen loaded....just don't have the depth in case of injuries...you don't rotate OL like you do DL. UF will roll in 10...that's right...10 DL during games to keep them fresh.
Regardless of VH3 and Cooper ...the bottom line is this, which ever team that has the MOST ushing yds wins the game...guaranteed. So its up to the OL to exert control and give the RBs room to pick up yds.
Yeldon, Henry etc etc get the media pub but UF has plenty of talent at RB...Kelvin Taylor and Matt Jones are powerful runners and we have a true frosh RB Brandon Powell who is quicker than a Times Square sidewalk card dealer. We also have Mack Brown who is the mode of a power runner.

WR on our side of the ball has really improved..you better keep an eye open for # 1 Dunbar and # 11 Robinson along with 6'4" Ahmad Fullwood # 5. BTW VH3 stated in an interview that soph Robinson was "uncoverable" during practices.

I really believe UF will come into BDS and steal some cheese.

I really hope it looks a lot like the last two times UF came to Tuscaloosa.

Expect UF to stack the line and let the secondary cover a lot of man. Sims will be knocked around early and often if he faces a lot of third and longs.....or he throws into coverage and the Gators start making BDS a little quiet.
