Most probably would guess Michigan, if not for Bama.

Well Alabama has won a lot of National Championships and has the whole Bear Bryant thing. I guess the point was made (by an Auburn fan) that Auburn had the Iron Bowl that put them on the National Map.

That's just in the immediate south. They at least know it's in an SEC state. The rest of the country would probably guess Mich, due to there actually being an Auburn, Michigan.

Most would know where Rutgers, Rice and Baylor were too.

I guess.

However,

1. The U.S .sucks at geography
2. If there was a Germantown University, most people wouldn't know its in Tennessee. Thats what happens when your school isn't named after a major city.

strongly, strongly doubt that. Maybe Baylor from this past season, but you guys are strongly overestimating the geographical abilities of the general public.

I'm talking strictly football fans. Not the mainstream general public. I know they're stupidasses. Look at our government officials elected on a consistent basis.

they are made up of the same people, mostly complete morons. Talk to the majority on the West Coast, and I doubt they know where Rutgers is.

Football capital of the world? bullshite. The best football team from Louisiana would beat the best football team in Alabama by 50+.

Hop in your DeLorean and head back to January 9th, rewatch, and come back.
