Alabama politician proposes end to pre-noon college football kickoffs

"I think going forward it's important that the managers of the universities across this state start to consider the fans," Pittman said. "The reason for this could be twofold. For one, Auburn doesn't play well before noon."
The University of Alabama alum’s pitch came days after Auburn barely survived, 27-20 in overtime, against FCS Jacksonville State in a game that started at 11:30 a.m. local time. Pittman's proposal didn’t go over so well with many of his colleagues, as it not only fell flat, but also apparently rubbed many of them the wrong way.
This is both funny and sad.
