I agree, but while we sputtered around on offense some we won by 4 TDs and were up 38-3 with 45 seconds left. We didn't exactly squeeze by

WKU didn't make us have 12 penalties and drop wide open passes.

And an inability to get any push at all from the OL in the running game. That probably bothers me more than anything. I think we'll get the penalties straightened out and the dropped passes. If we can't move the ball on the ground against WKU, even with a stacked box, it worries me against SEC defenses.

Which is why Saban is the way Saban is. A winner.

You think Saban would sitting there calm and collected like Kirby Smart was on Saturday? Nope.

That's the stupid post I was referring to and if you don't think that's a stupid post, then you're an idiot, also. Nobody said Western was a "world beater", just a pretty good football team..not like an Arkansas State...or Jax State.

For the first time I can remember, we may have to rely on the deep threat to open things up for our running game...amazing

As I watched the game I saw a team which knew that they would win and they were working on games down the road.
There were not that many different running plays. It looked as if the were working on the pass more than anything.
The fumble at the end that cost 7 will be a teaching point this week.

You do realize that Western Kentucky ended the season 12-2, ranked 24th and put up 46 points on Rice last week? That is a good football team. You're high if you truly believe that they are not...

Last year LSU allowed WKU's QB to throw for 400+ yards on their mighty D and they were giddy about how they held WKU in check.

LSU fans...mercurial as always.

WKU was a lot better last year, but fair point.

This post is right on the money. Ole Miss/Freeze ain't got a clue as to what to expect out of Alabama/Saban, and Saban would have paid big money to have had that fumble take place late. Now he's got all the material he needs to get folks' heads right.

Did the players feel that way before the post game arse chewing Saban laid on them. Not trolling Saban keeping them in check.

Lost against the spread

Saban is 0-9 against the spread when favored by 20 or more vs Non-Conference teams.

My opinion, which is shite:

Saban would have gone off during that game (he did), or on the media this week. Why? Because he's lost 2 straight to Ole Miss. He would have found something to bitch about, even if everything was cool. He is the best at what he does, and the going off on the sideline was calculated.

Ole Miss is in trouble this weekend. I don't see any scenario in which they win. Just ain't happening. It's gonna rain too. Bad news for the Bears.

What's with all the ole miss pessimism? You beat the crap out of maybe the best team in the country for a half. Have won 2 in a row against bama....have a great qb.....
