Are you suggesting that the spread is too high, or that aTm is overrated?

I believe he's suggesting Bama is incredible

It's gonna go down. The main problem with handicapping Bama is that they're always a serious danger to start a rout because of their depth and its influence in the late game. You always have to worry that a team they're only slightly better than will get blown out because the team runs out of gas by the fourth. That's been Bama's real strength for years now. Hard to beat a team that never gets as tired as you.

Lots of their closer games actually came from an opponent managing to find one last burst of energy to score late after Bama put them away in the 3rd and early 4th. Not an ideal way to keep a game close.

Alabama was just a 14-point favorite against a SEC East top 10 team on the road.

FIFY

For them to be -17 against #6 who plays in the SECw is a different story.

Like there is a huge difference between A&M and VOLS? Tennessee turned it over 7 times at A&M and lost in 2OT.

From what I saw in College Station two weeks ago, Tennessee and aTm are pretty equally matched teams. If Alabama can go into Neyland and put a beat down on The Vols they should be able to cover 17 at their own house vs aTm.

Frick A&M, but they have a legitimate and balanced team this year. They may have the best shot of anyone out there to beat Bama. Also Bama played flawlessly last week, even with Saban coaching, they are due for at least some letdown.

You obviously didn't watch their QB throw. They played flawless defense, but only half of a flawless offense.

Bama may very well cover, but hopefully at some point people start to learn the transitive property means very little.

I'm getting tired of this argument. Tennessee fans are acting as if these turnovers were all their mistakes and A&M had nothing to do with them.

1st fumble-Forced by A&M
2nd fumble-Clear targeting, but I guess forced since uncalled
3rd fumble-Forced by A&M
4th fumble-Unforced error, mistake on QB/RB exchange
5th fumble-Never got a good look at the Kelly fumble
1st INT-perfect pass bobbled 7 times by Croom right in to A&M's hands
2nd INT-Unforced error by Dobbs

At least 3 were clearly unforced errors, arguably 4. The strip by Watts and strip sack by Garrett were great plays, no doubt.

Um. Yes. The line itself will go down because bets will drive it, and that line is huge. The rest is a perfectly accurate way to describe Bama under Saban -- their superior depth tends to wear down teams and Bama takes control at some point after the half. That's even what they did to Clemson last year, with Clemson making a last-ditch attempt to close the gap and make the game look closer than it was.

What is your objection to this fairly basic observation? I would have assumed most Bama fans would agree with this.

Myles Garrett basically pushing the LT into Dobbs had nothing to do with it?

You're right Randomways. Generally we get up by 3 scores and then kind of coast, leading to teams like OM, Arkansas, Clemson last year, Florida last year, and others scoring to make it closer.

Knight can hurt us but TAMU's defense is not very good. How else could that pitiful Tennessee offense get 700 yards on them? Bama will score 40+ and TAMU 30+ if Knight has a great game. No way they win.

Wearing a team out and blowing them out means you're a much better team. That's part of football.

Barring a natural disaster (hope there isn't one) and A&M pulling an LSU and crying loud enough to get an extra SEC home game, A&M will probably lose by 21. Truth hurts, but I can take comfo

Bama vs A&M, then puts LSU in it..

All LSU all the time.

It will probably be closer than the last time A&M played at BDS.
