Likely just retains current role as analyst until after the season.

Will he stay sober?

Saban going to put a breathalyzer on the playbook. If he blows above the legal limit, it wont open

That's not funny. That's just a good idea.

He was seen by staff all season as an upgrade from Kiffin

If Saban can keep him sober, it'll be a fantastic hire.

That's up to Sark. This opportunity may give him some extra incentive. I pray Sark is successful in all regards.

So I've been scanning Sarkisian's record looking for accomplishments that might indicate Alabama's desire to hire him when I ran into this:

quote:

On September 8, 2014, Sarkisian and USC athletic director Pat Haden were reprimanded by Pac-12 Conference commissioner Larry Scott for attempting "to influence the officiating, and ultimately the outcome of a contest" during the September 6 game with Stanford.

Well now, it all makes sense. He's a perfect fit for the Alabama Crimson Vacated Wins football team.

Wasn't that because Hayden went down to the field and confronted the refs?

So Sarkisian was reprimanded by the P12 because someone else tried to influence the refs?

Seems legit, go with that...

Just scroll back on this board about 3 years and read all the SEC Rant "Experts" talk about how Sarkisian was really the mastermind behind the USCw offenses under Pete Carroll and not Lane Kiffin.

At least that was the narrative on this board when Alabama hired Lane.
