Best overall resume, best strength of schedule among all 1-loss teams, would be conference champions of the best conference in the country, etc.
All of that should probably put us at #2 or #3 behind Clemson and possibly Ohio State at years end.

Toughest schedule in the country, a bounce pass away from being undefeated, and dominating the best team on our schedule and holding the best RB in the country to 31 yards, and sacking the best QB in the SEC 9 (11) times.

Until every other power 5 conference wins multiple national titles between multiple teams before the SEC wins another... the SEC Champion deserves to be in the playoff no matter what, IMO. Even with 2 losses.

Name four teams you'd put ahead of them and why. I can see an argument being made for Clemson & Ohio State to be ahead of them. But even with that Bama's no lower than 3rd and a playoff team.

Yup, as of today at least. We could always lose and all this be moot.

And if that happens, yeah Bama should drop. But as things stand today, nobody in their right mind who follows college football can honestly say Bama is not one of the top 4 teams in the nation. In fact, I'd say they've got a very strong argument for being ranked #1.
