UGA's defense is not great and it never has been under MR.

You can't use that line! We already used that line!

Maybe, but it's not like Bama doesn't have top shelf talent at the line. I hope UGA wins, and I think the game might expose Henry's lack of acceleration, but UGA loves to lose games like this. If Bama pulls the upset, I predict that Drake will be the X factor in doing so.

GOAT!

Dye launched this missive: "I don't believe Georgia's man enough to beat Alabama."

Dye repeated that statement twice when prodded by radio host Paul Finebaum, the Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer reported Wednesday.

"Alabama is gonna line up and run the football and they're gonna play defense and I don't believe Georgia is man enough to beat that," Dye said.

The words hit Georgia players like a sledgehammer.

"Wow! That one hurts," senior offensive tackle Jon Stinchcomb told the Ledger-Enquirer on Tuesday. "That's a bold statement. I guess we'll find out Saturday. It stings a little bit when you hear your team is not man enough. That has some bite

His remarks were the basis for the first question for Georgia coach Mark Richt at his weekly press conference Tuesday.

"That would be good stuff (for the bulletin board)," Richt said with a smile.

I'm glad to see there are people on this forum who are old enough to know what I was talking about in the OP.

Oh, I remember it. Back then, I liked and respected UGA. Watched and pulled for them every weekend right behind AU.

I was really looking forward to the game and when Dye said that I was stoked. Everyone knew why he said it, UGA being his alma mater and all. But it of course had the desired effect and went straight on their board like Dye wanted. And make have made a difference considering UGA had to dig deep late to hold bama off.

I figure you are doing a bit of what Dye did back then and I applaud it.

Except for the whole RollTide1987 is a poster on an internet message board that likely nobody on the Alabama football team has ever heard of, let alone bothered to read.

UGA, historically is not man enough to win the really big games.

FACT

Not true. We are fine in the "really big games". It's the "kind of big games we're supposed to win" that give us heartburn.

Only from someone in the land of LSU ignorance.

And to the OP...not sure many players read this board, but if they do...maybe you'll motivate them?...

I wouldn't be shocked at all to see Alabama win. Everyone is high on Georgia, but they have beaten ULM, Southern, Vandy, and South Carolina. I mean please......and if it does happen....the media will be sucking saban's dick again talking about how bama, despite their loss, is playing the best football in the nation....the pumping will begin....LOL.....then people will be asking how good is florida, given that they beat ole miss, and ole miss beat Alabama, who beat Georgia....haha...
