Dang, Alabama doesn't have any big game experience in hostile environments either. And the 60,000 seat stadium is by far the most intimidating site they'll ever see.

The quote was "ask Nick Saban about Oxford being friendly" not "what are the differences between those years and this one".

He's never lost in Oxford, so I am still wondering what that means.

Ole Miss fans seem to believe that, because this is the biggest game they've ever been in, that it's also the biggest game we've ever been in.

Yea we're pretty used to playing, and winning, a lot of other teams' biggest games of the year, decade, century, etc. The Oxford environment will be a good warmup test for trips to Neyland and Tiger Stadium down the line

No. But you did ask "what am I missing?"

So I answered your question...

He asked what he was missing in regards to Oxford being a tough place for Saban, so you really didn't at all.

All I can say with certainty is that if we lose, the atmosphere at VHS won't have had anything to do with it.

I quoted a post saying Saban knew Oxford was not hospitable, then posted the scores of the games Saban has played there (all wins), and asked, in light of the question and information, what am I missing?

Seemed to be pretty clear.

That's what I'm noticing as well. Kinda strange, and very sad.

Reb fans are more pumped than I've ever seen them. This is going to be an insane atmosphere.

I know Bama is America's team, but it's always nice to be reminded. Thanks.

Well he hasn't lost a game there as the coach of Bama, in fact he hasn't lost to any school from the state of MS while coaching Bama.

Earlier in the week, I though Ole Miss would win the game...

As time passed, and seeing just how much emphasis the OM fans are placing on this game, in view of the WAOM law of nature, I would not be surprised to see Alabama win by 4 TDs.

I think Bama is going to use their running backs early and often to take away the manhood of Ole Miss. This will set up play action.

Serious prediction: At least one key Ole Miss player will be lost for the season. This is going to be a very physical game and Bama is built for that more so than Ole Miss right now.

Nick Saban lost his first game in Oxford.

Nevermind. Got the year mixed up
