Alabama looks for their 3rd straight SEC Championship in 2016, having beaten Missouri in 2014 and Florida in 2015. They would join 1993-1996 Florida as the only programs to do that in the SECCG era (Florida won 4 straight).

SEC Champion streaks since the SECCG in 1992
Florida (4) (1993, 1994, 1995, 1996)
Tennessee (2) (1997, 1998)
Alabama (2) (2014, 2015)

Teams that advanced to the SEC Title Game w/ a streak opportunity but lost
2003 Georgia (W 2002, L to LSU)
2009 Florida (W 2008, L to Alabama)

Pretty incredible that outside of Florida's mid-90's run that the SEC has gone back and forth so much. A lot of great programs.

Out there, someone may be on year 2 of saving $300. There's always that.

Talking about SEC stuff on an SEC message board?

Well, at least you don't stoop to that level.

Crazy that UF has more back to back SEC titles (3) over a 4 year span than AU has back to back 10 win seasons (1) in school history.

Bama could be sitting on 5 in a row now if not for 9-6 and the Kick Six. Unreal

Only thing worse than that would be the 30+ years without a national title.

Has an sec football team won outright "everything" back to back. I'm talking about sec division championship if applicable, sec overall championship, AP championship, coaches championship.

I researched and didn't see where Alabama outright won "everything" back to back years.

If any sec coach could outright win "everything" back to back he would be the greatest sec coach ever

I want to finish that 3 peat national title.

Bama 3 peats, Saban breaks Bears record, he retires to become the college football commissioner and jimbo takes over the reigns in ttown. Bobby Bowden is furious as he was pushed out at fsu for jimbo and now jimbo has the job Bowden wanted all his life. Bowden vows to no longer be the regular he has been for big games in tuscaloosa but becomes a regular at uab games with the other 200 fans.

Strong evidence to support just how down the SEC has been over the last few years.

And by extension the country, I guess, what with the national championship last year (brought on by beating 2 of the top 3 teams in the country).

Oh well, guess I'll take it.

No. The SEC divisonal championship has only been around since 1992.

Florida won the East division & the SEC championship 4 times in a row (1993-96), but only won the National Championship (AP, Coaches, BCS) once (96) in those years.

Tennessee won the East & the SEC championship 2 times in a row (97 & 98); but only won the NC once (98).

Alabama currently has won the West championship and the SEC championship 2 times in a roll; but has only won 1 national championship (2015)... so far. Bama has a chance this year to win everything back-to-back.
