It’s been pretty clear to us for a while that a Sweet 16 appearance would be a good accomplishment for this Alabama team.
It’s also been pretty clear from the way that Auburn fans have talked that the expectation of Auburn fans, and most people around that program, was that Auburn would at least be a Sweet 16 team, if not Elite 8 or Final 4. Instead, Auburn lost in the first round to Yale.
So, yeah, Alabama fans are excited to see this Alabama team reaching the level we thought that they could reach. We also enjoy seeing Auburn fail to meet the expectations of their fans.
